At Kalpā Impact, we work with a variety of stakeholders including impact investors, philanthropic funders, social enterprises, and corporates to address complex social challenges and to accelerate sustainable development. The Consultant will be an experienced member of our team, working with Analysts, other Consultants and the Engagement Manager to deliver on impact programs and to build positive relationships with clients.
As a Consultant at Kalpā Impact, you will be part of a team that works on diverse projects across sectors such as Climate, Livelihoods, Skilling, Education, Agriculture and Financial Inclusion among others. Moreover, you will work across research, strategy, portfolio support, storytelling, impact evaluation and coalition building. You will work on solving complex problems and designing impact pathways for rigorous program delivery.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and guide research and strategic problem solving for project delivery
- Lead multiple tracks in projects independently
- Produce client-ready deliverables including strategy decks, program dashboards, project reports, and governance reports
- Provide execution and operational guidance to associates and analysts on the project
- Communicate with clients and stakeholders with clarity and quality
- Identify and mitigate project risks in consultation with the project lead
- Responsible for first-level project planning and governance
- Lead smaller delivery projects independently
- Contribute to the creation of proposals for new projects
Requirements
- 3-6 years of experience in management consulting, social impact advisory, nonprofits, social enterprises or with development agencies.
- Ideal candidate will have few years of consulting experience, exposure to the development world and orientation towards driving social change
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – demonstrated academic and professional excellence
- Working knowledge of data analysis tools is essential. Proficiency in data analysis tools will be a plus (e.g., R, Python)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills – essential to have experience of developing presentations or written reports for executive communication
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated interest in the field of social impact or ESG
